Topics Wendy can comment on:
Wendy provides clear, accessible psychological insight into the experiences and pressures that can shape our emotional wellbeing, relationships and sense of self.
Midlife mental health & overwhelm
Why people who have coped successfully for many years can suddenly begin to feel overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of themselves, and why midlife can bring questions about identity, purpose and what needs to change.
Burnout, work & career identity
Workplace stress, high-functioning overwhelm, burnout, career dissatisfaction and the psychological impact of achievement, responsibility and changing professional identity.
Relationships & midlife change
Relationship strain, resentment, emotional disconnection, growing apart, communication difficulties and the way wider life pressures can affect long-term relationships.
Menopause, neurodivergence & identity
The psychological experience of menopause and late-recognised ADHD or autism, including masking, exhaustion, identity, self-understanding and the relief, and sometimes grief, that can accompany late recognition or diagnosis.
NB: Wendy comments on psychological experience and wellbeing rather than providing medical or diagnostic advice.
Grief, loss & life transitions
Bereavement, loneliness, ageing parents, empty nest, relationship breakdown, career change and other significant transitions that can alter our sense of identity and direction.
LGBTQ+ identity & belonging
LGBTQ+ identity, belonging, acceptance and psychological safety, together with the importance of feeling genuinely understood within therapy and wider relationships.
