Finding the right therapist or coach matters. You need to feel comfortable, understood and able to be yourself with the person you choose.

I’m Wendy, an integrative relational psychotherapist and therapeutic coach. I offer counselling, psychotherapy and therapeutic coaching to adults in Leamington Spa and online across the UK.

I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship from the University of Warwick and I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside my professional training, I bring more than 30 years of experience supporting people through change, challenge and personal development.

My way of working is warm, thoughtful and down-to-earth. I will not tell you what to do or assume I know what is best for you. Instead, I will listen carefully, seek to understand your experience and help you explore the thoughts, feelings, relationships and patterns that may be affecting you today.

My story

My journey into psychotherapy & coaching grew from a longstanding curiosity about people, what shapes us, how we adapt and why some experiences continue to affect the way we feel, relate and move through life.

Over the years, working with people through change and challenge has shown me that lasting change rarely comes from practical solutions alone. It often begins with feeling understood, making sense of our experiences and seeing ourselves more clearly.

My own experiences of loss, change, caring responsibilities and the challenges that can come with midlife have also shaped the way I work. They have given me a deeper appreciation of the questions many of us face around identity, belonging, relationships, changing roles and purpose - particularly at times when life no longer looks or feels quite as it once did. Above all, they have reinforced for me how important it is to feel seen, understood and able to live authentically.

These experiences led me to train as a psychotherapist and later develop my work in therapeutic coaching. North Cove brings these different strands together to offer thoughtful, grounded support that starts with you - your experiences, your identity, what matters to you and the changes you hope to make.

My approach

There is no single way to work through difficulty or create change. As an integrative relational psychotherapist & coach, I draw on different therapeutic approaches and shape our work around you.

The relationship we build is central to the process. I aim to offer warmth, honesty, curiosity and respect, so you can talk openly without fear of judgement.

Together, we can explore what is happening in your life, understand the experiences and patterns that may be affecting you and consider what could help you move forward.

We will work collaboratively, at a pace that feels manageable, with space for both emotional healing and practical change.
