Helping you heal, grow and move forward.
Finding the right therapist is about more than qualifications—it's about finding someone you feel comfortable talking to, who will listen with warmth, curiosity and without judgement.
I'm Wendy C. Miller BA (Hons), D.Hyp, MBACP, founder of NorthSpring Therapy & Coaching. My aim is to create a calm, supportive and professional environment where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. Together, we'll build a therapeutic relationship that helps you gain greater self-awareness, navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.
MY STORY
My journey into counselling and psychotherapy began with a lifelong curiosity about people—what shapes us, how we grow and why some experiences stay with us long after they've happened.
Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I spent more than 30 years leading people, developing teams and supporting individuals to realise their potential. Throughout that time, I became increasingly drawn to understanding the emotional and psychological aspects of change, relationships and personal growth.
Alongside my professional career, life has also brought experiences that have deepened my empathy, resilience and appreciation of how important it is to have someone who will truly listen.
Today, NorthSpring brings together my experience in leadership, psychotherapy, therapeutic coaching and research to support adults seeking greater understanding, healing and personal growth.
How I Work
No two people experience life in exactly the same way, so I don't believe counselling and psychotherapy should follow a one-size-fits-all approach. As an integrative relational psychotherapist, I tailor therapy to you as an individual, creating an approach that reflects your unique experiences, needs and goals.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. Research consistently shows that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest contributors to successful therapy. When we feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted, we create the conditions for healing, self-awareness and meaningful, lasting change.
Everything I do is guided by compassion, curiosity and a belief in every person's capacity for growth. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you'll be met with warmth, empathy and without judgement. Together, we'll explore your experiences with openness and curiosity, helping you better understand yourself, recognise patterns that may no longer be serving you and discover new ways of moving forward.
Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, make sense of your experiences and create a life that feels more authentic, meaningful and fulfilling.
My work is informed by a range of well-established therapeutic approaches, including relational, psychodynamic, Gestalt, existential and mindfulness-informed practice. This flexibility allows me to tailor our work together to your individual needs, ensuring therapy feels personal, collaborative and responsive to you.
Alongside counselling and psychotherapy, I also offer therapeutic coaching for clients who are ready to build on therapeutic insight, navigate change and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and purpose.
Professional Practice & Ethics
Providing a safe, ethical and professionally supported service is fundamental to the way I practise.
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that confidentiality, integrity and your wellbeing remain at the centre of our work together.
I attend regular clinical supervision, an essential part of professional practice that provides a confidential space to reflect on my work, maintain high standards and continue developing as a therapist.
Alongside regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I am an active member of the Warwick Peer Support & Supervision Group and the University of Warwick Alumni Research Group, helping me remain connected with current research, reflective practice and developments within counselling, psychotherapy and coaching psychology.

Research
Research plays an important role in my professional development and helps ensure my practice remains thoughtful, reflective and evidence-informed.
My undergraduate research was presented at both the BACP Research Conference in London and the University of Warwick Research Conference, contributing to professional discussions around counselling training, identity and therapist development.
Remaining engaged with research allows me to continually develop my practice, ensuring the support I offer is informed by current thinking while always recognising that every client's experience is unique.
